The term visitor used below relates to anyone making use of the Practice's premises and services (except employees for whom the Equal Opportunities/Anti Discrimination policy applies.
The Practice will
Ensure that all visitors are treated with dignity and respect.
Promote equality of opportunity.
Not tolerate any discrimination or perceived discrimination or harassment of any visitor for reason of age, sex, gender, marital status, pregnancy, race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, religion or belief.
Will provide the same treatment and services, including the ability to register with the Practice irrespective of age, sex, marital status, pregnancy, race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, religion or belief.
If you feel discriminated against or harassed then please contact the Practice Manager or Dr Mahalingam who will then start an investigation into the matter. If after the investigation the outcome is not satisfactory then you can raise a formal complaint through the Practice's formal complaint procedure.
The Practice will not tolerate any form of discrimination or harassment of the staff by any visitor. Any visistor who expresses any form of discrimination against, or harassment of any member of staff will be required to leave the premise. If the visitor is a patient then the Practice may take action to remove the patient from the Practice list.
